Pea Vines

A spritely triangle in three sizes (mini/petite/tall), worked from hem to neck in a composition of delicate pea vines dotted with nupps (add or substitute beads if desired). Despite its intricate appearance, this piece travels well and knits up quickly to make a special accessory that reflects the gardener in each of us.

Suggested Yarns: 

Bare Naked Wools Shetlandia Fingering, Modern Deco Lace, Better Breakfast Fingering, Stone Soup Fingering, Jacob Fingering, Finn Dandy 3-ply Sport, or any soft fingering yarn with 400-450 yards per 4 ounces.  Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size.

Finished Size:

19(24, 29) inches long at center back and 40(60, 80) inches across top edge (blocked)

Yarn Requirements:

275(550, 800) yards

Gauge:

24 sts and 32 rows = 4 inches in stockinette (unblocked; fabric will be relaxed)

Needles:

size 4US (3.5 mm) circular needle (or size to obtain correct gauge)
DPNs same size for final join (optional)
