Our new Festivus 10.0 Worsted is crafted from a premium blend of carefully selected wool fibers, spun into a beautifully soft 20.5-micron yarn designed for next-to-skin comfort.
Spun and plied into a classic 3-ply worsted construction, Festivus 10.0 has plenty of spring and bounce. The fibers are combed for a smooth finish, giving your stitches crisp definition and creating a yarn that feels wonderful as it glides through your hands.
A Note About Unwashed Skeins
Festivus 10.0 skeins are sold unwashed. The wool is scoured before processing, but the finished skeins are not washed after spinning. As a result, the yarn may retain some spinning oils and dust from the mill.
A good soak in hot, soapy water will wash away the remaining residue, allowing the fibers to soften and bloom to their full loft. Be sure to wash your swatches before measuring gauge and assess your finished fabric only after washing, as the yarn's bloom may affect your final gauge and garment dimensions.

- Alternate dyed skeins while knitting to distribute the color evenly.
- Hand wash by soaking in lukewarm water with a mild detergent.
- Let the fabric soak for 15 min, gently squeeze out excess moisture.
- Roll fabric between clean dry towels to remove moisture.
- Lay flat and shape to air dry.
