The cool mountain lake terrain of early fall was the inspiration for this long, asymmetrical cowl in two sizes (petite/tall), worked in rippling openwork stitch patterns. Though there is lace knitting on every round, working in a circular fashion allows the knitter complete access to the front side at all times and makes this project very doable for less experienced knitters and those seeking a quick project. The gorgeous hem forms a dramatic point at the front to fill the neck of a jacket; the biasing motifs cause the cowl to puddle into lovely folds.
Shown here: size tall in Spirit Trail Tayet, color Tintern
