A triangle shawl in two sizes featuring multiple stitch patterns, including a scalloped hem. The triangle is knitted from the center back neck outward.
Suggested Yarns:
Bare Naked Wools Modern Deco Lace, Yak + Silk Lace, Stone Soup Fingering, Kent Lace, Better Breakfast Fingering, Shetlandia Fingering, Jacob Fingering, or any sock-weight fingering yarn which knits to 7-8 sts per inch, and has 200+ yds per 50 grams. Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size, drape, and yardage requirement.
Finished Size:
Shawl: approx 84” across long (top) edge and 36” down the center back
Scarf: approx 42” across long edge and 15” down center back
Yarn Requirements:
Shawl: 900-1,000 yds fingering or sock weight wool or laceweight alpaca or mohair
Scarf: 200 yds fingering or sock weight wool or laceweight alpaca or mohair
Gauge:
22 sts and 30 rows = 4” over stockinette
Needles:
size US6 (4mm) circular needle, or size to obtain gauge
