Rotterdam Stocking Kit

Inspired by seafaring gansey designs from the Netherlands, this deliciously textured holiday stocking will surely stand out in a row along the mantle! Samples shown are knit in Festivus 8.0 Worsted, color Tinsel

Finished Size: approximately 12 inches in circumference around top cuff and 12.5 inches from cuff to heel

Yarn Requirements: 200 yards

Gauge: 20 sts and 30 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on larger needles (knit flat, washed, and air-dried)

Needles: 
two size 5US (3.75 mm) 16- or 24-inch circular needles (or size to obtain correct gauge; may also be worked on DPNs or a single, 12-inch circular needle if desired)
size 3US (3.25 mm) DPNs for hanging loop (or .5 mm less than gauge needle)
cable needle several sizes smaller than gauge needle)
