Feederbrook Farm Entropy DK & Blues Singer DK

Take this cozy shawl, available in three sizes—petite, medium, and tall. You can work it in a two-tone palette for crisp, striking contrast, or pair a solid with a gradient for a softer, ever-shifting effect.
Though it looks complex, this shawl is deceptively easy to knit, using just one strand per row. It’s an ideal project for colorwork beginners, and a delightful, playful challenge for more experienced knitters.

23 sts and 36 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on larger needles (washed and air-dried)
26 sts and 46 rows = 4 inches in body pattern stitch on larger needles (washed and air-dried)
Needles:
size 6US (4.0 mm) or size to obtain correct gauge
size 5US (3.75 mm) for starting border (or .25 mm smaller than gauge needle)
Kaaterskill Falls is the special edition shade of Feederbrook Farm Entropy DK used in Brocadia—a color we specifically requested from Lisa at Feederbrook Farm. Inspired by the stunning waterfalls of the Catskills Mountains, it perfectly captures cozy fall tones.
Made with delicious Bluefaced Leicester wool, this yarn is 100% natural and spun using Feederbrook’s sustainable, secret Entropy process, giving it a subtle, beautifully gradient effect that’s as charming as it is unique.

But Feederbrook Farm’s Entropy DK doesn’t take all the credit for Brocadia! This shawl was also worked in our Blues Singer DK—another 100% Bluefaced Leicester wool. Unlike the Entropy DK, it’s completely natural, undyed, showcasing the wool in its true, gorgeous color in the Lead Belly shade.
Blues Singer DK is also available in Fingering weight, and there are three additional shades to choose from—perfect for your Brocadia Shawl or any other knitting projects

This one is the Petite size, and it features a striking contrast using the grey and silky tones of our Modern Deco Sport—a luxurious Tencel and Targhee blend that gives any fabric a sophisticated sheen. Paired with the fluffy Polwarth Sport, this combination adds body and drape, perfectly showcasing the beautiful mosaic motifs. The result? A fabric that looks intricate but is genuinely fun to knit!
