Shifty

A top-down sock in six sizes with a shifting rib pattern that extends down the leg and over the top of the foot, and is especially friendly with self-striping yarns.
Easily converted to toe-up construction, as the pattern is vertically reversible.
May be knit with a variety of yarn weights and needles sizes.

Suggested Yarns:

Better Breakfast Fingering, Stone Soup Fingering, Modern Deco Sport, or any soft, springy sock yarn. Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size, drape, and yardage requirement.

XXS(XS, S, M, L, XL), to fit feet measuring up to 4(5.5, 7, 8.5, 10, 11.5)”
finished sock circumference = 3(4.5, 6, 7.5, 9, 10.5) inches

Yarn Requirements:

200(250, 300, 350, 400, 450) yards

Gauge:

32 sts and 48 rows = 4” in stockinette

Needles:

DPNs size US1 (2.25mm), or size to obtain correct gauge.
