Zinfandel Cap
Sometimes it’s all about the yarn. The various reds and purples and the darker black variegation in the Festivus calls for simple lines and a classic hat. This cap showcases a slip-stitch rib that adds a subtle change in stitch length and depth; the brim ribbing and crown decreases are worked to highlight the featured rib. Adjusting for width or depth on this hat is easy and the generous yardage leaves enough extra yarn for a big, festive pom on top! Sample is shown in size M/18.25 inches.
The Zinfandel Cap pattern is part of the design collection for our 10th annual 2020 Red Scarf scholarship fundraiser! All proceeds from the sale of this pattern through December 31, 2020 will go directly to our scholarship in partnership with Foster Care to Success.
This Red Scarf scholarship pattern is knit in our Bare Naked Wools Festivus (100% Natural Targhee) in a limited-edition, custom colorway, Cardinal. A portion of yarn sales go directly to the scholarship.
Please note this pattern is both written and charted. Any pattern support is supplied by the contributing designer. Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size, drape, or yardage requirement.
