Thank you for participating in the Red Scarf Fundraiser by Knitspot, now in its 13th year! Your contribution helps a Foster Care to Success scholarship recipient complete their dreams of a college education. Each designer included in this eBook is allowing us to showcase a pattern to raise money for this charitable cause.

The recipients of this scholarship are high-risk individuals who have aged out of foster care, heading into college life without a support system. We’ve been providing this scholarship since 2011 — usually to design majors, a plus for our knitting community — and have seen first-hand the huge impact it has on our student recipients.

Charity funds are raised through sales of original patterns and a custom-dyed artisan yarn, both created just for this event. During the fundraiser, we offer the designs exclusively through 12/31/2023 and donate 100% of profits to the Foster Care 2 Success Scholarship program.

Samples were knit in Festivus 8.0 Sport and Festivus 8.0 Worsted in colors Ornament, Tencel and Fairy Light
