An airy scarf or stole consisting of a single stitch motif, perfect for a light covering indoors or out. Makes a good knitting project for a beginning or intermediate lace knitter, and a quick knit for a more experienced knitter.
Sample shown is knit on size 5 needles with additional repeats using Bare Naked Wools Yak + Silk. See detailed project notes on Ravelry.
Suggested Yarns:
Yak + Silk, Kent Lace, Modern Deco Lace, Better Breakfast Fingering, Stone Soup Fingering, Shetlandia Fingering, Jacob Fingering or any heavy lace/light fingering yarn that knits to pattern gauge.
Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size, drape, or yardage requirement.
Finished Size: Stole: approx 21” x 72”, blocked (or desired length)
Scarf: approx 12” x 56” blocked (or desired length)
Yarn Requirements: Stole: approx 700 yards
Scarf: approx 350 yards
Gauge: 5.5 sts per inch unblocked
Needles Size:
US8 (5mm) straight or circular. Adjust needle size as needed.
