Looking for a fun winter set to help you stand out at the sledding hill? Do you love to ski and hike and don’t care who knows it? The December Mountain Scarf and Hat set will let you show off your love for the outdoors while you stand out from the crowd! This matched set uses similar, but not identical, color charts. The hat is knit bottom up, starting with a little ribbing and some stockinette before the color chart. After the chart we go right into the decreases. Finally we top it off with a pompom that matches the mountains. The scarf includes tassels that also match the pompom. Both are knit up in fingering weight wool for light and comfy, yet warm winter wear. The scarf is knit in a tube, so there’s never a wrong side showing. Start at one end, work a few rounds of stockinette, work the color chart, and then comes a stretch of easy TV knitting. Finally work the second color chart, a few more rounds of stockinette and bind off. We finish off by adding the tassels. Simple, but fun and pretty.
