Stone Soup Fingering

Description

 Stone Soup Fingering

Stone soup is a 2 ply unique blend of rambouillet, columbia, lincoln, navajo-churro, alpaca, silk, bamboo, tencel, bison, and lama, which offers exotic color, tweedy texture, and crisp stitch definition. This fiber blend is 95% produced and entirely spun in America.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This yarn is available in multiple sizes. Please select the size and shade above before adding to your cart. Some shades may not be available in all sizes.

A Note From Anne Hanson About This Blend:

This particular blend knits up into a flannelly-soft fabric which is highly breathable, wicking, and cohesive. With just a couple of wearings and washing, the fabric surface fulls a bit, which in turn, adds even more to its life; in my experience, Stone Soup pills very little. And of course, the natural shades keep their wonderfully rich colors for life!

The fingering weight has a combination of merino and longwool fibers spun with a tighter twist, that offers softness along with tough wearability; the blend also has a measure of Tencel, which helps to regulate body temperature and has great resilience against wear.

Stone soup fingering makes lovely sweaters and accessorieseven socks! It competes well with other all-wool sock yarn (such as Hazel Knits). Naturally, sock wear will depend highly on how you wear and use your socks!
