Sheltie Triangle

Description

This simple, everyday triangle in three sizes (doll, petite, tall) is distinguished by the fluid drama of its wavy hem, worked in a random mix of natural colors, determined by the knitter. The hem lace is a variation of the feather and fan motif, seen in traditional Scottish hap shawls. This design is a tribute to those timeless beauties, now worked in a modern one-piece construction. Because the hap was a workaday garment, this version is named for the Shetland sheepdog, which also sports a coat of dramatic shading in brown, gray, and white.
